Mzizi School ERP has been selected for Cohort II of the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship, a programme supporting African education technology companies, delivered in partnership with iHub.
What the fellowship supports
The fellowship provides participating companies with support to grow their reach and strengthen their platforms. For Mzizi, the areas of focus are the ones our schools raise most consistently:
- Reducing administrative time and cost — taking manual work out of registers, reporting and fee administration so staff spend less of the week on paperwork.
- Improving information flow — making sure parents know where their child stands without having to ask the office.
- Supporting financial sustainability — giving schools the visibility to manage budgets and collection properly.
Why it matters to schools using Mzizi
Recognition of this kind is only useful if it shows up in the product. In practice that means continued investment in the parts of the system schools rely on daily — assessment and reporting under CBE, fee collection and reconciliation, and parent communication — rather than new features for their own sake.
Mzizi is built in Nairobi by Ultratude Tech Ltd and is used by more than 300 schools across Kenya and Uganda.
